Replace main panel with permit and code updates The reason for the visit was to inspect an issue with the dryer not working. When I went to inspect the main panel to check to see if there was an issue with the breaker control in the dryer we noticed charing behind the breakers with a strong burnt smell. I removed the dryer breaker and noticed that the bus bar had severe burning and melting behind it. Due to the severe damage to the bus bar, we are unable to perform any repairs inside of it in accordance with the national electric code. We came back the following day and replace the entire panel with a new service cable.

Today’s visit was for installation of exterior lights. Customer wants one light replaced and another installed on the other side of the front of the home. We would pull power from the attic for the new install. Please see attached for all solutions we reviewed today if you should change your mind in the future.

We were called out today to look at smoke detectors that were failing. When we arrived the customer had already taken down all the smoke detectors. We went to the panel in the basement and saw that the arc-fault breaker controlling the smoke detectors had tripped. When resetting the breaker, we noticed that the handle was stiff and, when testing the arc-fault, it tripped hard. We recommended replacing the breaker. We also provided a solution for a whole home surge protector.

This solution includes the replacement of the gfci receptacle in the basement near treadmill. We have replaced the existing damaged GFCI receptacle in the basement near treadmill.
We will install a new Panasonic exhaust fan with a light in place of the existing light in the ceiling in the second floor hall bathroom.
